Residence Addition

The original main house is an Esherick design, very elegant and classic but modern in a Bay Area style way. This 5,000 sq ft house in the middle of Black Hawk still looks, from a distance, for all the world like a humble gate house to one of the typical 20,000 sf mansions in the area. What started out to be simply the addition of a pool and freestanding pool house, grew until it was a substantial building containing a game room, sumptuous guest suite, generous exercise room and spa, and superb wine cellar.
